Tribune de Lyon chooses Upgrade Media to support its digital transformation

In order to implement a new digital organisation and a renewed editorial offer, including a Premium offer, Tribune de Lyon, the Lyon-based weekly chose Upgrade Media to accelerate its projects.

Tribune de Lyon‘s intention is to change its operating mode and in particular to publish in “digital-first” mode. The objective will not only be to publish first for social networks or digital, but above all to adopt the right formats, the right questions to involve readers as early as possible in the process and to put in place web to print logics.
This reinvention is above all a qualitative challenge to better involve and engage readers and develop digital subscriptions.

The tasks of Upgrade Media will be the following:

  • Implementing a new digital organisation first.
  • Develop the print layout to facilitate web-to-print processes.
  • Establish a content strategy to develop digital subscriptions.
  • Support the editorial team in developing new digital skills to master new formats (mojo, engaging writing).
  • Setting up reader studies to better understand expectations.
  • Work on audience engagement from the notification to the home page via social networks.
  • Support for the sales team, to better meet the expectations of advertisers and communicating companies in the region.

Tribune de Lyon is Lyon’s first generalist weekly magazine. It offers a critical view of Lyon’s news (in economics, politics and society), as well as a complete guide to Lyon’s events and trends. In a difficult environment for the press, Tribune de Lyon has been awarded six consecutive ACPM Gold Stars (from 2016 to 2021), rewarding the strongest growth in its circulation among all French titles.
